Darrell Hackney was arrested in Colorado this week on suspicion of driving under the influence. Hackney is the third-string quarterback for the Denver Broncos. According to Englewood police, the 24-year-old was stoppedĀ on the road after a policeman had reason to believe that he was driving under the influence.
The arrest did not stop Hackney from attending the weekend Broncos game against the Raiders. He was processed and released in time to travel with his team to Oakland, CA, for the game.
Hackney is not the only member of the Bronco team to face drunken driving charges. His teammate, Brandon Marshall was arrested in October for suspicion of driving under the influence as well. If they are convicted, both of the players face suspensions from the league.
