Velvet Revolver singer arrested for DUI

December 3rd, 2007 · No Comments

Scott Weiland was arrested for driving under the influence. He is most well know as the singer for the band Velvet Revolver and has had a history of drug addiction for most of his musical career. He was arrested after being involved in a collision on a Los Angles highway. No one was seriously injured in the accident.

According to authorities, Weiland was unable to perform the sobriety tests at a satisfactory level, so he was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk. He was released on $40,000 bail after refusing to take a blood or urine test.

He continues to struggle to control his drug and alcohol addiction and may return to a rehab program if his situation worsens.
