50 yr old woman faces DUI charges

December 10th, 2007 · No Comments

Danuta Fahmy, a 50 year old woman, drove her car onto railroad tracks after becoming highly intoxicated. Fahmy parked her green Chevy Blazer across the eastbound track of the Clifton rail station at 12:23 p.m. on Sunday. Police were forced to stop any railway traffic until her car could be removed from the tracks. Trains were delayed, but only for about 10 minutes.

The back tires of the Chevy Blazer had been lifted off the ground, preventing Fahmy from clearing the track of her car on her own. She claimed that she was lost when police questioned her, however, they later discovered that she lived around the block.
