Teen DUI gets 45 days in jail

January 13th, 2008 · No Comments

An Illinois teen sent another teenager to the hospital last year after driving under the influence. The driver pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor charge when her court date arrived. The felony charges of DUI and failure to slow to avoid and accident were dismissed in exchange for her plea. She will serve 45 days in jail and two years of probation.

In March of 2007, the driver crashed into a snowplow that was pulled over to the side of the road. The driver’s passenger, a friend, was injured and listed as critical condition when they arrived at the nearby hospital. They were both treated for their injuries at the hospital and later released.
