A Harvey man was convicted this week of multiple felony charges, including first-degree murder, aggravated DUI, and carjacking. Seneca Allen, 23, became drunk and got into a fight with a friend while celebrating his birthday at Castaways Bowl in Calumet City. When police arrived, Allen struck an officer before jumping into a moving vehicle, taking control from the driver, and speeding away. Police chased him for 2 miles before he ran a red light and crashed into a Chevrolet Caprice driven by America Rodriguez, 24, killing her.
Allen is due to be sentenced on the 20th of February.
