After his tractor-trailer ran off the road and blocked U.S. 74 around 10:30 p.m. on April 7, 2008, truck driver John Glenn Little was charged with a DWI in a commercial vehicle. He suffered a cut to the head and was taken to a local hospital for medical care. Crews were called to the scene to clean up leaking fuel. Little’s vehicle also had to be unloaded and lifted off the road with a crane. Westbound lanes on U.S. 74 were closed all night because of the accident. The scene was finally cleared around 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday morning and traffic was able to resume as normal.
